Kim Dixon

Assistant Director, H2J

Kim Dixon turned professional after being asked by several people in her area if she would teach lessons - she hasn't looked back since. Kim competes in both the jumper ring and the hunter ring. She has won top ribbons in the level 5's and 6's and most recently won the $15,000 Open Hunter Classic at Colorado Horse Park. She was also Champion multiple times in 2007 on her horse Calvin K in the Regular Working Hunter division. Kim has ridden with some of the top horsemen in the country, several of which have been to The Olympic Games for the United States. She enjoys hosting clinics and brings in top professionals so that her clients can experience and benefit from those riders as much as she has. Her love of horses, teaching and competing made her decision to become professional an easy one. Kim's extensive accomplishments made her a natural choice for director of H2J's Rising Stars program and overall assistant director of H2J.

Lynn Donnelly

I have been involved with horses pretty much my whole life. I began riding on friend's horses every chance I got by age 8. I bought my first horse at age 18 and we never parted until she passed on at the age of 32. During that time I trained my first horse to ride when I was in my mid twenties. I rode her and loved her until her days were over as well. My husband Bob and I now own two beautiful Tennessee Walking Horses and the four of us spend every opportunity we get, exploring Colorado's Rocky Mountain high country. While I have years and miles of trail riding, I have studied Dressage, Jumping and Natural Horsemanship also. I believe the horse is a unique gift from God to us. It teaches us to respect, care for and love something outside ourselves. I've had the opportunity to teach the last two years at H2J and feel blessed to be able to share my love and knowledge of the horse with the eager young riders who come here to learn. The smile you get from a young heart that moment they just realized a new level of horsemanship, is priceless.

Lynn Bopeley

Lynn Bopeley started her teaching career as a riding instructor at Green Gate farm in Ohio, where she rode and showed hunters and jumpers. Lynn continued to ride and teach in Nashville, TN while attending Vanderbilt University. Currently Lynn teaches third grade at Basalt Elementary and in the winter she works as a part time instructor at Powder Pandas, the childrens ski program at Buttermilk. Lynn joined the H2J staff in 2006.

Susie Wallace

Susie Wallace grew up in the northeast. She started riding at age 8 and had an extensive winning career as a junior rider with Victor Hugo-Vidal as her coach. The highlights of her junior career include winning the Zone 3 Medal Finals, the Governor's Cup Perpetual Hunt Seat Championship on two occasions and finishing 3rd one year and 5th another year in the AHSA Medal Class at Madison Square Garden. Susie moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 1980 and continued showing, but most of all developed a great love for teaching children and adults. Susie has started kids from the beginner level and taken them successfully through their junior years both at local shows as well as the eastern slope USEF shows -- to name a couple, Colin Arnold and Brooke Sheffer. Susie's experience and compassion for the sport makes her a welcome addition to the H2J staff.
