SUMMER CAMP

H2J Riding School's Summer Camp is regarded as the valley's most educational and comprehensive equestrian program for children. Students in H2J's program learn how to ride as well as take care of horses.
PLEASE NOTE - 2009 CAMP LOCATION CHANGEFor the 2009 camp season only, H2J will be operating out of the Aspen Equestrian Center which is located on the Catherine Store road in the mid-valley area of the Roaring Fork Valley. Free transportation to and from camp is provided by a Colorado PUC licensed and insured carrier with pickups at the Ruby Park bus terminal in downtown Aspen and the Snowmass intercept lot at the intersection of Colorado Highway 82 and Owl Creek Road. Complete directions to Aspen Equestrian Center can be found here |
Students are divided each day into two groups: Intermediate students MUST BE COMFORTABLE AT WALK AND TROT. Advanced students MUST BE COMFORTABLE AT WALK, TROT AND CANTER.
In addition to the two main groups at camp, Advanced students can participate in our Rising Stars program where students will focus on jumping techniques and preparing for horse shows. Rising Stars students must either lease or own their own horse. Contact Kim Dixon at 970-379-7865 for information about leasing.
