SUMMER CAMP

H2J Riding School's Summer Camp is regarded as the valley's most educational and comprehensive equestrian program for children. Students in H2J's program learn how to ride as well as take care of horses.
Students are divided each day into three groups: Beginning students start with proper body position, then learn to steer and stop, while progressing to the trot. Intermediate students trot and steer while learning diagonals, voice and leg aids, and cantering comfortably. Advanced students focus on jumping techniques and preparing for horse shows.
DAILY ACTIVITIES
Daily hands-on activities include
lead and halter drills, safe horse-handling techniques, cleaning stalls and paddocks,
bathing, grooming and feeding the horses, cleaning tack, as well as
learning to ride safely and responsibly. |
